Submariners Association -
We Come Unseen
The following outlines the process that will need to be in place for branches to apply to use the Submariners Association gazebos, feather flags and associated kit.
Four Branches have volunteered to hold the gazebos, for use by all branches.
- Sunderland
- Morecambe
- East Kent
- West of Scotland
Each Branch has nominated a member to be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, reporting and shipping of the gazebos.
Each of the branches will be issued the following-
- 3x3m Commercial Frame with wheeled bag
- 3x3m gazebo
- 2x Feather flags
- 2x Water bases
- 1x half sidewall, poles, and brackets.
The booking of the Gazebo’s will be via the Members area on the SA website. There are 4 gazebos, the availability will be denoted by a different colour on the calendar.
- User to log in to Members Area, using your username and password.
- Navigate to Gazebo tab.
- Check availability via the calendar.
- Upon a request being received that a branch would like to use a gazebo an email will be sent to info@submarinersassociation.com who will then nominate a free gazebo to be used.
- Our Gazebo Team will contact the branch the gazebo custodian and inform them of the requesting branch along with date and time gazebo is required.
- Our Gazebo Team will then contact the requesting branch, give them the custodians details. It will be the requesting branches responsibility to arrange and pay for shipping costs to and from the custodian’s address.
- The day prior to shipping the custodian is responsible for completing a full kit muster and completing the form on they are issued and send it to info@submarinersassociation.com.
- Upon receiving the kit, the requesting branch will be required to complete a full muster and complete the form and send it to info@submarinersassociation.com within 24 hours. Any defects reported after this time will be the responsibility of the requesting branch.
- Prior to shipping back to the custodian, the requesting branch will be responsible for another full kit muster, form completed, and any defects reported directly to info@submarinersassociation.com
- Upon the custodian receiving the kit, he is then responsible for a full muster and the form complete, any defects reported to info@submarinersassociation.com.
- Kit should not be transported back to custodian if it is wet or dirty. It should be wiped down and aired off by branch after the event is over before being packed for transportation.
