Purpose
The Submariners Association will hold its Annual Remembrance Parade in London over the weekend of 31 October and 1 November 2026. The weekend provides an opportunity to remember all submariners who remain on Eternal Patrol and to strengthen the ethos and esprit de corps of the wider Submarine Family, including representatives of the international community serving in the United Kingdom.
Rear Admiral A. Perks MBE RN, Director of Submarines, will attend and strongly encourages maximum support throughout the weekend.
Programme overview
Saturday 31 October: Dedication of the Submarine Service plot in the Poppy Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey, followed by a restricted wreath-laying event for nominated personnel.
Sunday 1 November: Annual Remembrance Service and Parade at Middle Temple Gardens. There will be no marching parade.
Access and identification
Middle Temple Gardens, Middle Temple Lane, London EC4Y 9AT, will be available as the pre- and post-parade meeting area and as the wet-weather venue. Its hire has been made possible through funding support from the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) and the Submarine Family Fund.
Serving personnel: MOD Form 90 (Armed Forces Identification Card).
Veterans and retired personnel: Submariners Association membership card or Veteran Card.
Family members and civilian guests: Photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence, is recommended.
Seating: A limited number of seats will be available adjacent to the parade for elderly and disabled attendees.
IMPORTANT: Attendance at the West Cloisters wreath-laying event on Saturday is restricted to nominated personnel holding tickets. All other attendees are to stand down after the North Field dedication.

The West Cloisters programme is for nominated personnel only. Personnel without tickets are not to attend this part of the Westminster Abbey event.

Wet-weather arrangements
If the weather is unsuitable, the parade will be held inside Middle Temple Hall Library.
Rail travel
Free rail travel is available throughout the United Kingdom on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026. Attendees should carry any identification or supporting documentation required by the participating rail operator.
